Discrete R2R Ladder DAC, Evolved

The LAiV Harmony DAC 2 is the successor to the DAC that put LAiV on the map. It keeps the fully balanced, discrete R2R ladder architecture and the organic, live presentation that made the original hard to replace, then rebuilds everything around it.

A new discrete Class A output buffer drives the XLR and RCA outputs at the same time, with low output impedance into any preamplifier or power amplifier. A direct 10MHz master clock input lets you discipline the whole conversion process to your reference, with no DDC and no I2S detour. For PCM you now choose your presentation: pure NOS, LAiV's in-house OS mode, or a dedicated hardware sample rate conversion stage. DSD is converted to multi-bit for the R2R ladder.

Full digital isolation between the input and output stages stops ground loops, USB bus noise, and upstream interference at the barrier, leaving a lower noise floor and more of the low-level detail that makes music feel alive. A 12V trigger brings the DAC 2 into your system's power sequence. A colour LCD replaces the grayscale OLED, and firmware now updates over USB-C.

Shipping: the first batch is built and ready to ship. Your unit leaves us within 3-5 business days of your order. All orders, including those from the USA, ship directly from our factory, so delivery for US customers may take a little longer than usual. Please note we observe holidays from 25 to 27 September and from 1 to 7 October; orders placed around these dates will be fulfilled as soon as possible on business days. The first production run remains very limited.
