We are honoured that Herb Reichert chose the Harmony µDAC for a full equipment review in Stereophile's December 2025 issue, complete with measurements by editor John Atkinson. This is not a sidebar mention or a brief note. It is a multi-page, deeply considered evaluation from one of the most trusted ears in audio journalism.

Herb spent extended time with the µDAC, testing it through both coax and USB sources, exploring its NOS and oversampling modes, and evaluating it against DACs at significantly higher price points. His assessment was generous and detailed, and his conclusion carried a warmth that we found deeply encouraging. What made the review especially meaningful is where Herb placed the µDAC in context. He did not evaluate it as a "budget" product doing well for its price. He evaluated it on absolute terms, alongside components that cost many multiples more, and found that it held its ground.

Herb also noted areas where the µDAC's character differs from pricier alternatives, and we appreciate that honesty. Every product has a perspective, and we believe the µDAC's perspective is a compelling one. The fact that it was subsequently listed as a Class A Recommended Component in Stereophile's 2026 Edition confirms that Herb's experience resonated beyond his own listening room.
