LAiV Audio is pleased to announce the official launch of Crescendo CHORUS, a GaN stereo power amplifier with bridge mono capability, derived from the Harmony GaNM.
Designed as part of the Crescendo Collection, CHORUS carries the same core Gallium Nitride amplification technology as the Harmony GaNM, brought to a more accessible price point. With ultra-fast switching speed, the output is virtually indistinguishable from analogue.

GaN Amplification Technology
CHORUS is built on GaN transistors that switch faster and run cooler than traditional silicon MOSFETs, delivering lower distortion, wider bandwidth, and higher efficiency. Designed with high-performance signal modulators and driver stages, CHORUS is carefully tuned for musicality, transparency, and resolution.
Two Modes. One Amplifier.
Crescendo CHORUS operates in two distinct modes to suit different system configurations.
Stereo Mode In stereo mode, CHORUS operates as a single-ended amplifier with two independent channels, delivering 50W per channel into 8Ω or 80W per channel into 4Ω. Both XLR and RCA inputs are accepted, with the balanced input offering better THD and SNR performance.
Bridge Mono Mode In bridge mono mode, CHORUS takes a single input, converts it into a fully differential balanced signal, and delivers 120W of true balanced power into 8Ω and 4Ω, stable into 2Ω. Maximum instantaneous power reaches up to 165W. Even the RCA input is internally converted to a balanced signal path to take full advantage of the fully differential architecture. Overall performance is elevated compared to stereo mode.
Recommended: Dual Mono Configuration
For ultimate performance, pair two Crescendo CHORUS units, each operating in bridge mono mode. Each unit delivers 120W of true balanced output per channel with complete electrical separation between left and right, separate power supplies, and separate amplification stages. Crosstalk is eliminated entirely.
Derived from the Harmony GaNM
CHORUS is a trickle-down design from the LAiV Harmony GaNM, retaining the core GaN amplification technology while making it accessible through the Crescendo series. Key differences include a stamped aluminium chassis (instead of CNC-machined billet), a 160W power supply (compared to 250W in GaNM), and a streamlined GaNFET implementation. CHORUS still excels in transparency and resolution, thanks to its high-bandwidth frequency response.

Upon startup, the built-in microcontroller runs through a full system check before switching CHORUS into operation mode. Firmware is upgradeable via microSD card slot for improved stability and future enhancements.
Designed for Always-On Operation
CHORUS uses its chassis for heat dissipation. Thanks to the high efficiency of GaN technology, the chassis remains only lukewarm during normal operation. Standby power consumption is under 2W, idle power under 20W.
CHORUS is highly versatile and can be paired with the vast majority of DACs and preamps on the market.
