Nemo Audio Project Calls the Crescendo CHORUS a Giant Killer

A big thank you to Nemo Audio Project for a genuinely thorough look at the Crescendo CHORUS. Nemo is known for freestyling his reviews from the listening chair rather than a script, and for testing gear every way he can, easy speakers and hard, small rooms and large, single stereo unit and bridged mono pair. That willingness to push a product from every angle is what makes his take worth sitting with, and he put real hours into this one.
What means the most to us is the core of what he found. In single stereo form he described the CHORUS as effortless and expansive, with huge airspace and separation, a natural open midrange, and linear, tight, well controlled bass. He called the base stack a class leader at its price. Then he did the thing we always hope a reviewer will do, which is find the ceiling. Pairing the CHORUS with a stronger preamp, he said it matched full size stereo amplifiers several times its price, and described it plainly as a giant killer. His summary on the technology was the line we will remember: with the GaN design, in his book, "it's closer to class A."
He was also clear and fair about how to get the best from it, and we appreciate that. The CHORUS is voiced for detail, neutrality, and an effortless, resolving sound rather than added warmth, so he was honest that a listener chasing a lush, velvety character might want something different. He also pointed out that the amplifier has more in it than an entry pairing reveals, and that a listener can grow the system either by adding a second unit for monoblocks or by moving up to our Harmony HP2A preamplifier. We designed the CHORUS to offer exactly that kind of flexible path, so it is rewarding to see him map it out for viewers so clearly.
